CPL Recruitment is partnering with our client in Dublin South to source a replacement production manager (facilities) due to an internal promotion. This is a non-pharma/med device environment and would suit someone looking to step into a production manager role.
Key Responsibilities:
* Full responsibility for the leadership and management of the company's production team, encompassing all facets of production operations.
* Involvement in developing, implementing, and maintaining production strategies that align with business objectives.
* Managing performance, productivity, costs, finance, and budgets to ensure optimal resource allocation and financial efficiency.
* Ensuring a high level of performance and maintaining our customer base through proactive relationship management.
* Process and Plant development in conjunction with the Engineering department, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
* Developing regular reviews of processes and practices to identify areas for enhancement and streamlining.
* Developing, monitoring, and updating regular production plans to meet changing business requirements.
* Supervising and motivating a production team, overseeing performance, and identifying training needs to ensure skills gaps are addressed.
* Continuous review and planning for any training requirements, promoting a culture of lifelong learning.
* Ability to drive efficiencies, yield, and improve margins through data-driven decision making and process optimization.
* Implementation of best practice in Health & Safety compliance, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
* Strong commercial awareness, with a proven track record of delivering results in a production environment.
* Fluent oral and written English, with strong communication, analytical, and writing skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
* A third-level degree or equivalent is preferred but not essential, as we place greater emphasis on relevant work experience and skills.
