Matrix Recruitment is recruiting an
EHS Manager
for a
Westmeath-based manufacturing client
on a
maternity contract
.
This on-site role (8 AM – 5 PM, 1-hour lunch) is the key point of contact for all
Environmental, Health & Safety matters
within the manufacturing facility, ensuring compliance with legislation, ISO standards, and internal processes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage environmental compliance, including air and noise pollution reporting to local authorities.
* Conduct regular audits, testing, and maintain Air Emissions License requirements.
* Ensure correct PPE use and safe practices for staff operating machinery and equipment.
* Maintain and update risk assessments and safety procedures across the facility.
* Audit and support compliance with
ISO 14001
(Environmental) and
ISO 45001
(Health & Safety) standards, keeping up-to-date with legislation.
Requirements:
* Degree or diploma in Environmental, Health, or Safety-related field.
* 2–3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
* Knowledge and practical experience with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards, including auditing.
* Strong understanding of Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation.
* Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple EHS priorities.
