Summary
Due to continued growth, we have an opening for an Associate Operations Supervisor at our Stryker Anngrove facility in Cork, one of the most innovative and technologically advanced manufacturing sites in the global Stryker network. This role offers an opportunity to inspire, lead, and mentor diverse teams across the site.
Responsibilities
* Lead a production team to meet targets/KPIs for quality, service, costs, and people development.
* Communicate and ensure quality standards and objectives are met, including rework, scrap, line clearance, QA audits, and cell/value stream shutdowns.
* Manage and prioritize production to meet customer requirements and inventory levels; communicate output levels.
* Provide training, coaching, feedback, and support to set teams and individuals up for success.
* Create a positive employee relations environment and foster high engagement within the production and cross-functional teams.
* Provide timely feedback and conduct reviews; address performance issues fairly and promptly.
* Facilitate open communication through weekly meetings and daily line interactions to optimize efficiency and productivity.
* Collaborate with training to develop and implement training programs and plans.
* Participate in the hiring process for Production Operators.
* Maintain GMP and 6S standards within the department involving all team members.
* Ensure compliance with Time and Attendance systems and plan for annual leave and overtime.
* Lead and support the advancement of Lean Manufacturing principles.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
What You Need
* Degree or Master’s in Business, Production Management, Engineering, or similar discipline, or equivalent experience.
* Minimum 4 years experience in a manufacturing environment.
* At least 2 years supervisory experience.
* Broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures in a production environment.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, consulting with leaders on unusual matters.
* Strong leadership skills for working with people and setting direction within cross-functional teams.
* Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
* Knowledge of GMP, FDA regulatory requirements, housekeeping, health, and safety standards.
* Genuine interest in investing in people, with skills in engagement and development.
* Ability to coach, give effective feedback, and manage performance.
* Experience with problem-solving methodologies and process knowledge is desirable.
* Ability to interpret and analyze information and translate it into operational actions.
* Excellent influencing and communication skills.
