This is a hands-on role that combines conceptual design with practical implementation, requiring a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles and a proven ability to turn ideas into functional prototypes.ResponsibilitiesLead mechanical design efforts from concept through to prototype.Develop 3D models and detailed design specifications using SolidWorks.Apply sound engineering judgment to define hypotheses, design tests, evaluate data, and iterate effectively.Conduct tolerance analysis and produce high-quality drafting documentation.Collaborate with junior engineers and technicians to drive project success.RequirementsApproximately 10 years of experience in mechanical design, with a focus on New Product Development.Expert-level proficiency in SolidWorks.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; experience in fluidics or infusion systems is preferred.Ability to work independently and lead small teams.On-site presence in Limerick required at least 3 days per week.
