We are looking for a Full-time Waste Operative to join our facilities team in Finisklin, Sligo Working pattern: Monday to Thursday 08:*****:30 Friday 08:*******:30 Main duties and responsibilities General services operatives are responsible for dealing with hazardous and nonhazardous waste management on site.
Duties, not restricted to, are as follows: To service hazardous and non-hazardous waste collection points throughout client site Empty Non-hazardous bins Empty Hazardous waste bins Filling and use of the general waste compactor Filling and use of the Dry Mixed Recyclable Compactor Baling of cardboard, plastic, and paper waste streams Loading of curtainsiders and containers by use of Forklift Completion of all ADR/IMDG paperwork for shipments of hazardous waste off site Decanting of hazardous waste streams on site Completion of all relevant paperwork with regard non-hazardous waste Other paperwork and admin duties Liaise with waste management vendors Salting of the car park over the winter months Qualifications and experience Experience in Environmental or Waste management desirable but not essential.
Ability to demonstrate awareness of Health and Safety good practice in relation to cleaning procedures Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Understand safe working practices and health and safety legislation Well-organised and capable of prioritising own work Flexible, Honest and reliable Previous experience in similar role advantageous Forklift training a distinct advantage We look forward to your application!
