Assistant Professor in General Nursing
We seek to appoint an Assistant Professor in General Nursing. The primary purpose of this post is to contribute to general nursing teaching, research and administrative activities in the School.
Responsibilities include:
Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and supervise and mentor students.
Contribute to interdisciplinary curricular teaching.
Develop and conduct research in general nursing within strategic focus areas of the Discipline, School of Nursing and Midwifery, Trinity College Dublin and contemporary society.
Attract research funding and attain scholarly publication.
Engage with new innovations and research initiatives within the Discipline of General Nursing, the Trinity Centre for Practice and Healthcare Innovation and the Institute of Population Health.
Collaborate with the Head of Discipline and other discipline members.
The post is a five-year fixed-term tenure‑track position; permanency is subject to satisfying the tenure requirements. Hours of work are those prescribed under Public Service Agreements. Salary: Assistant Professor merged (109) Scale (€43,425 – €103,582 per annum) on a monthly/weekly pay scale in line with current Government pay policy.
Eligibility: In Ireland, a non‑EEA National must hold a valid employment permit unless exempted. Garda vetting will be required.
