Job description:On behalf of our client based just outside Limerick city, we are recruiting for Social Care Workers for a brand new residential service. These roles are on a permanent basis with both full-time and relief contracts available.Core Responsibilities:Deliver quality service adhering to professional, national, and local standards.Work within current legislation, policies, and procedures.Promote recovery principles and values in service delivery.Treat service users with dignity, respect, and promote their rights.Plan, implement, and evaluate care plans as part of a multidisciplinary team.Support service users’ needs, including nutrition, education, social, independent living and document management.Collaborate with other agencies, and attend relevant meetings.Participate in crisis management and ensure the safety and well-being of service users.Engage in professional development, training, and reflective practice.Comply with health and safety regulations, and report risks or incidents.Promote a culture of diversity, respect, and sustainable practices.Maintain accurate documentation and ensure confidentiality.Assist in the administration and day-to-day operations of the service.Participate in team meetings and report to management on service delivery.Cooperate with external monitoring, statutory inspections, and implement recommendations.This list of responsibilities is non-exhaustive.Skills & Competencies:Demonstrates strong professional knowledge and the ability to provide safe, effective services using best practices.Applies theoretical models and appropriate interventions to deliver high-quality care.Integrates professional judgment with practice models and evaluates information to make timely, effective decisions.Utilizes computer skills, including Microsoft Office, and is open to developing relevant IT skills.Exhibits effective planning, organizing, and resource management skills, with an emphasis on prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.Works well independently and as part of a team, building networks and adapting to change.Shows commitment to quality service, innovation, and advocating for service users.Demonstrates ongoing commitment to professional development and high standards.Communicates effectively, empathetically, and respectfully, adapting to the needs of service users and resolving conflicts.Job Type: Full-time, reliefPay: From €34,000.00 – 41000 per year + related unsocial premiums
