Wills Bros are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Mayo for a large Civil Engineering project.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, hard working with a 'hands-on' approach to work.
Possess a strong and flexible work ethic to support the needs of the business, and must have effective communication, problem solving and IT skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and evaluate cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities for our projects.
Conduct cost analysis and risk management for ongoing projects.
Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure accurate and timely procurement of materials and services.
Monitor project costs and progress, identifying and addressing any discrepancies.
Prepare and present detailed reports on project financial performance.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Assist in the preparation of contract documents and manage contract variations.
Conduct site visits to assess project progress and provide accurate valuations.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying essential.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in quantity surveying within Civil Engineering sector with the EU market.
Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost control, and procurement processes.
Proficient in the use of COINS, Bluebeam, MS Project software and MS Office suite.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Full driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites.
