Ipsen in Ireland is represented by a dynamic state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, creating API for our key products.

We are currently recruiting for a Plant Engineer to join our Engineering Team. This permanent position is based at our Dublin manufacturing site and reports directly to the Maintenance Manager.

The ideal candidate will possess experience in maintenance engineering within the pharmaceutical industry. A strong background in upstream and downstream processing, utilities, lyophilization, process abatement systems, HVAC, purified water, clean steam, refrigeration, and liquid waste management/treatment systems.

What you will be doing:

Ensure a safe work environment by adhering to all relevant environmental, health, and safety regulations, policies, and procedures.

Lead root cause investigations, and technical troubleshooting for equipment and system-related issues, ensuring follow-up actions are completed and learnings implemented.

Take ownership of assigned equipment and systems within a GMP-compliant manufacturing environment.

Oversee the daily operational performance of designated equipment and systems.

Analyse performance data and trends to proactively identify and address potential issues, optimizing system reliability and efficiency.

Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities for equipment and processes, and support technicians with preventive maintenance tasks.

Proactively plan and implement preventive measures to avoid equipment issues, aligning with manufacturing schedules and resource availability.

Lead and contribute to system enhancements, including drafting detailed specifications, engineering documentation, and standard operating procedures.

Ensure a comprehensive critical spare parts list is established and that appropriate inventory levels are maintained.

Develop and maintain a structured plan for future equipment improvements and scheduled downtimes.

Engineering Degree and/or Trade with 5 years' experience.
