Staff Nurse (St Clare's Ward Medical) Part Time 23 Hours per Week An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Staff Nurse (St Clare's Ward Medical) to join the Bon Secours Health System Hospital Galway, Ireland's largest private healthcare provider.
Job Purpose: Staff nurses are responsible for providing high standards of nursing care to patients, applying the nursing process, and utilizing scientific knowledge, judgment, and technical skills to deliver care to a patient population ranging from paediatric to elderly.
Ideal Candidate: Ability to work as part of a team providing a quality servicePersonally and professionally accountable for patient careRGN qualification and NMBI registrationThree years post-registration experienceExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsFlexible approach to work patterns, including rotation between days and nightsEssential Qualifications: Registered in the General Division of the Register of Nurses kept by An Bord Altranais or entitled to be registeredThree years nursing experience post-registration, preferably in acute medical/surgical areasExperience & Responsibility: Carry out nursing care and treatments to the highest standard according to policies, procedures, and guidelinesParticipate in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care based on the nursing process, maintaining appropriate recordsImplement discharge planning based on patient care needsAdminister medicines, IV drugs, blood/blood products, and controlled drugs following policies; record and monitor post-administration; report adverse events or medication errorsAdhere to infection control guidelines, report/manage infections, and handle medical waste as per hospital policyClosing date for applications: Tuesday, 20th May 2025
