Legal Costs Administrator

About the role:
Our client is currently recruiting for a Legal Costs Administrator to join their Accounts Team. This role can be based in Dublin or a hybrid role.
Ideally, you will have worked in a plaintiff litigation costs capacity.
Responsibilities:
* Administer matters from settlement of case to closure of file.
* Maintain list of matters and their statuses.
* Monitor office and client account costs on matters.
* Create costs files for Legal Costs Accountant.
* Reconcile matter costs to Legal Costs Accountant’s statement.
* Communicate and correspond with Client, Legal Costs Accountants, Experts, and Legal Counsel.
* File all case correspondence.
* Prepare payments to clients, witnesses, and counsel.
* Hold regular meetings with Partners and Legal Costs Accountants.
* Set up new client profiles on case management system.
* Handle client billing when required.
* Post outlay to case management system.
Requirements:
* Strong administration skills – letter writing.
* Preparation of finance records.
* Familiarity with Practice Evolve Case Management is an advantage.
* Strong numeracy skills with impressive attention to detail.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
* Intermediate Excel skills.
* Prior experience with billing systems and client outlay.
* Preferable legal cost accountant experience or litigation law, firms costs experience.
