Job Overview:
NPI Process Engineers play a vital role in enhancing manufacturing efficiency and developing optimal moulding techniques to meet customer demands.
Main Responsibilities:
* Introduce new products into the production process, compiling standardized specifications for each process, and monitoring production to meet those standards.
* Optimize processes using statistical techniques to improve productivity and quality.
* Collaborate with Production Group leaders to troubleshoot processing problems and establish relationships with customers and suppliers for continuous improvement.
* Solve customer-related issues in conjunction with the Quality department and train employees on new processes or systems.
* Coordinate documentation development in line with ISO9001:2000 and ISO 13485 requirements, reviewing systems with Group Leaders and the Quality department regularly.
Requirements for Success:
* Minimum of a National Diploma in Plastics Engineering (or a Degree in Engineering) and at least 4-5 years' experience in injection moulding.
* Excellent knowledge of injection mould tooling and design, as well as injection moulding, processing, ancillary equipment, and automation systems.
* Preferably worked in the Medical, Packaging, or technological industries and have some knowledge of real-time monitoring systems.
* In-depth knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Design of experiments (DOE), demonstrated use of same, and good knowledge of WCM, JIT, SMED, and Kaizen principles.
* Proficient in computer systems, integrated manufacturing systems, word processing, and spreadsheets.
