Job Description
We are currently seeking a Temporary Consultant Radiologist to join our client's team.
The post is for a general radiologist with a strong emphasis on acute service provision. Key requirements include experience in emergency radiology, particularly trauma imaging and acute stroke work. The role would ideally support the on-call rota, performing limited adult ultrasound and some paediatric ultrasound out of hours. While subspecialty interests are welcome, emphasis is on a broad general skill set to meet service needs.
Responsibilities
Provide expert radiology services to patients in a hospital setting
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest quality of patient care
Interpret imaging results accurately and communicate findings to healthcare professionals
Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Adhere to professional standards and guidelines in the field of radiology
Qualifications
Medical degree and board certification in Radiology
Specialist Registration with Medical Council of Ireland
Minimum of 5 years of experience in radiology
Expertise in interpreting diagnostic imaging tests
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in using radiology information systems
Commitment to continuing medical education
