As a Buyer, you will join a leading construction company specializing in structural alterations, civil engineering, substructure, concrete works, and builder's works. The office is conveniently located in Dublin North/Meath. This is a permanent position.
Your new role
As a Buyer, your duties include but are not limited to:
1. Placing orders for materials, plant, and equipment
2. Creating and managing purchase orders
3. Coordinating with site to book deliveries
4. Managing materials, plant, and equipment with the yard
5. Vendor onboarding and sourcing new suppliers
6. Negotiating prices, lead times, and terms
7. Monitoring supplier performance
8. Stakeholder management
9. Vetting and selecting suppliers based on quality
10. Supporting continuous improvement initiatives
11. Verifying and authorizing supplier invoices
12. Data analysis and reporting for the procurement team
13. Performing any ad-hoc duties related to procurement

What you'll need to succeed
Ideally, you will have at least 5 years of procurement experience in civil projects. Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are essential for effective stakeholder engagement. Proficiency in MS Office Suite is required. Attention to detail and strong administrative skills are also necessary.
