Financial Reporting Director – Fund Administration
We are seeking a highly experienced Financial Reporting Director to lead and shape the regional financial reporting function across EMEA within a dynamic fund administration environment. This is a strategic leadership role for a highly skilled professional with deep technical knowledge and a proven track record in financial reporting, client service, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
* Leadership & Strategy: Lead the financial reporting function, setting the strategic direction for EMEA operations. Drive continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and excellence in service delivery.
* Subject Matter Expertise: Act as the senior authority on financial statement production, ensuring compliance with IFRS, US GAAP, Lux GAAP, and other relevant accounting standards. Provide guidance on complex technical queries and ensure teams are trained on all latest GAAP developments.
* Client Financial Statement Production & Audits: Oversee preparation of annual, quarterly, and other fund financial statements. Deliver high-quality client service, liaise with external auditors, manage audit queries, and oversee the audit process. Ensure internal and external quality control of financial statements, including new entity setups.
* Team Leadership & Development: Manage a high-performing team, including performance management, career development, and succession planning. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous development.
* Client Relationships & Sales Support: Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring service excellence. Provide technical input for client pitches and business development initiatives.
* Regulatory & Compliance Oversight: Ensure adherence to Irish financial regulatory reporting requirements, including MMIF, Monthly NAV Returns, SPV returns, and other obligations.
* Process Improvement: Identify, implement, and oversee process enhancements to improve efficiency, control, and service quality.
* Governance & Risk: Oversee operational and financial reporting risks, ensuring robust controls and compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
Qualifications & Experience
* 15+ years’ experience in financial reporting within fund administration or fund audit at a leading audit firm.
* Proven experience in senior leadership or strategic roles within financial reporting.
* In-depth knowledge of the funds industry and complex accounting standards.
* Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.
* Strong strategic mindset with a focus on operational excellence and continuous improvement.
* Ability to lead and inspire high-performing teams across multiple jurisdictions.
