Virtualization Engineer This is a unique opportunity for an expert in virtualization and storage technologies.
The Principal Architect will be a hands-on design engineer, specializing in virtualization technologies for virtual servers and VDI using VMware and Nutanix.
Responsibilities: Design enterprise level virtual technologies for the firmManage the day-to-day administration of VMWare and Nutanix clustersPerformance and capacity management projectionsCreate documentation for best practices in deploying Hyper converge solutionsProvide virtual platform system technical performance and availability recommendationsPlan and engineer expansion of converged infrastructureDeploy and test HA/BCP virtual environments for the firmProvide guidance for virtualization best practicesParticipate in the design and support of all backend infrastructure components for the virtual environment for the firm.Required Skills: Minimum of 5 years' experience with VMWare technologies2 - 3 years of hands-on experience with Nutanix HCIExtensive Virtualization Experience such as design, implement, and manage virtual environments, including Datacenter cluster(s) managed by vCenter.Experience with VMware vCenter design/Nutanix Prism Central and implementation best practices.Experience with building and maintaining high-availability (>99%) VMware environmentsExtensive server hardware knowledge with HPE, Dell or SuperMicro serverAbility to perform root cause analysis on all VMware products.

ESX hosts, Virtual Centers, and Virtual MachinesAbility to administrate, maintain, and troubleshoot Storage Area Networks (SAN) and Network Attached Storage (NAS) attached to Virtual environmentsThorough knowledge of setting up different BCP technologies such as Zerto, SRM, Rubrik, Netbackup etcAbility to collaborate with different teams working across different areas in multiple locations in different time zonesNice to have skills: Experience working with GPU at the enterprise level for VDI deployment.Working experience with other operating systems such as Linux, WindowsBasic network knowledge working in an enterprise data center Environment.PowerShell or Python scripting experience is a plusFamiliar with automation tools such as Chef, Jenkin, Pipelines and etcExperience with other hypervisors such Citrix XenServer, Hyperv, Openstack is a plus.Container experience with Kubernetes or Docker is a plus
