Our company is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Ennis. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for providing expert advice on commercial aspects of projects, including cost management and contractual matters. You will work closely with our team to ensure the provision of surveying duties and achieve optimum commercial return for the project.
Main Responsibilities
* Carry out duties as quantity surveyor on projects as instructed
* Ensure optimum commercial return is achieved for the project
* Prepare the cost / value reconciliation reports accurately
* Agree interim valuations at the agreed dates to gain the best commercial advantage for the company
* Agree final accounts with subcontractors to maximise project margins
* Maintain control of accounts and minimise the cost of any variations
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A Quantity Surveying Degree or similar qualification
* Ideally 1-2 years of experience, but recent graduates would also be considered
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Highly numerate with excellent attention to detail, able to gather, interpret and present data
* Proficient in Excel and MS Project
* Methodical, conscientious and organised, works to deliver high standards
* Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a collective
