Our client, a leading global healthcare company based in Cavan, is recruiting an IQA Technician.
Shift pattern will be Monday - Friday, rotation of days/ evenings with potential to cover weekend shifts if required
Primary Function / Goals / Objectives
·Follow all Environmental, Health and Safety Rules and Regulations in the plant.
·Report any current or potential hazards to your manager immediately.
·Always wear the correct Personal Protective Equipment (. Consult the appropriate SOP where required.
·This technician has the responsibility for reviewing all SOPs for any job task he/she may carry out and ensure he/she fully understands and adheres to the SOP.
·This function will ensure relevant checks and tests are completed to release incoming ingredient and packaging commodities to the plant.
·Where applicable the job involves conducting product testing in the inspection area and placing non-conforming product on hold.
·The role includes carrying out inspections of certificate of analysis of incoming vendors to ensure they meet the relevant quality requirements.
Major Responsibilities
1. Sampling, checking and subsequently releasing or rejecting commodities coming to site.
2. Ensuring all commodities on site have full traceability both visually and virtually.
3. Support the packing lines with can tear downs daily and support them with queries regarding materials being used on the line.
4. Ensuring your area is always audit ready by following site GMP and GLP.
5. Overseeing the sites batch files, recording, and filing into the Kardex.
6. Support ingredient and packaging trials on site.
7. Controlling the hold area, reject area and label cage.
Education Required
·Diploma in Food Science or equivalent or cert with relevant manufacturing experience.
Knowledge
·Strong understanding of compliance and quality standards.
·Familiarity with HACCP regulations and best practice along with 1-year's experience in a nutritional and manufacturing function.
