The role
SAFETY SPECIALIST required by CareerWise Recruitment for our multinational Life Sciences client in Limerick.
Initial 12 month contract on offer and site presence required, at least 4 days per week.
Lead the safety clearance and handover of the Buildings, Systems, Plant & Equipment from the primary contract to client operations.
The successful candidate will have the ability to work both independently and within a team, have strong communication skills, and have strong leadership qualities.
NOTE: No sponsorship is provided for this role so applicants need to already have Irish / EU citizenship OR the relevant Stamp / Visa in place.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Client Representative accepting Buildings, Systems, Plant & Equipment from the primary construction vendor
Complete Buildings, Systems, Plant & Equipment walkdowns ensuring follow-up /close out executed as per clients expectations
Main safety liaison between the C&Q Team, Client and primary construction vendor
Complete and update all documentation as required for the client
Provide support & advice to colleagues, client and other third parties.
Any other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
3rd level qualifications in health & safety or a relevant Qualification
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role
Possess a sound understanding of health and safety legislation
Good communication and interpersonal skills
