We are working with a growing business in Meath who are seeking an ambitious, detail‑oriented
Qualified Accountant
to join their finance team. This role will support the day‑to‑day finance function and play a key part in month‑end close, reconciliations, and maintaining strong financial controls across the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and post
monthly accruals
, journals, and assist with month‑end financial close activities
* Support
cash management
, including daily and weekly cash and bank reconciliations and investigation of variances
* Manage
Accounts Payable
, including reviewing and posting supplier invoices, preparing supplier reconciliations, assisting with monthly payment runs, and maintaining strong supplier relationships
* Assist with
Accounts Receivable
, including monthly revenue and balance sheet reconciliations
* Maintain the
Fixed Asset Register
, ensuring all assets are accurately recorded and up to date
* Prepare
monthly fee share calculations
in a timely and accurate manner
* Assist with ad‑hoc projects and finance initiatives to support the wider business
Requirements
* Qualified
ACCA / ACA/ CIMA (or equivalent)
* 3+ years' experience
working within a finance or accounting function
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders
* Strong numerical, analytical, and attention‑to‑detail skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel
* Well‑organised, self‑motivated, and able to manage tasks independently
* A proactive, "can‑do" attitude with the ability to meet deadlines
