We are looking for an experienced construction manager to join our team in Galway.
Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
Collaborate with contract and project managers to align project delivery with company objectives.
Lead detailed project planning sessions, focusing on buildability and efficient methodology.
Apply planning tools (such as the Last Planner System) to improve program predictability.
Oversee allocation of resources—including labor, equipment, and subcontractors—across multiple sites.
Provide input into methodology and resource planning during tendering and project development.
Health, Safety, Quality & Environment (HSQE)
Champion a proactive safety culture, ensuring adherence to company HSQE policies.
Carry out regular HSQE audits and inspections, reporting findings and implementing corrective actions.
Enforce safe working practices across all operations and subcontractors.
Ensure compliance with quality standards, addressing defects and driving lessons learned.
Monitor environmental measures and site waste management practices.
Performance & Continuous Improvement
Track productivity across all projects, identifying strengths and areas for improvement.
Develop and implement improvement plans to optimize efficiency and resource use.
Monitor working hours, training, travel, and plant utilization to support data-driven decision-making.
Foster a culture of learning and innovation through lean practices and process enhancements.
Resource & Plant Management
Support and oversee the labor & plant coordinator in managing workforce and equipment deployment.
Prioritize and balance resource requirements across projects to meet commercial and program needs.
Coordinate with the Plant Department on machinery, maintenance, and site facilities.
Explore opportunities for equipment innovation and logistics improvements.
Cross-Department Collaboration
Partner with internal teams to ensure alignment on planning, design, safety, quality, HR, and plant logistics.
Provide constructability and resource input during tender and design phases.
Work with HR to support recruitment, workforce planning, and training initiatives.
Collaborate with HSQE teams to maintain compliance and drive improvement.
Commercial Oversight
Contribute to construction budgets, forecasts, and resource planning.
Review costs against budget and identify areas for savings or efficiency.
Support commercial teams with program updates and resource reporting.
Leadership & Reporting
Lead and mentor site teams, fostering accountability, collaboration, and professional growth.
Represent operational values when engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
Present updates on program progress, HSQE performance, resources, and costs to senior management.
Promote innovation, teamwork, and operational excellence across the business.
About You
At least 10 years' construction industry experience in a senior operational role.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to develop teams.
Comprehensive knowledge of HSQE compliance and industry best practices.
Excellent planning, communication, and collaboration skills.
A commitment to continuous improvement, innovation, and delivering results.

Pay: €53,675.11-€99,980.72 per year
