This is a hands-on role where you will champion operational excellence and help to build a culture of continuous improvement.Based at JFC's Headquarters in Tuam, Co. Galway, this position offers an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of smart manufacturing within a progressive, innovation-driven environment.Key Duties And ResponsibilitiesOversee day-to-day production operations, ensuring quality, output, and efficiency targets are consistently met.Develop, implement, and monitor production schedules aligned with demand forecasts, capacity, and inventory plans.Track and report on production KPIs including throughput, efficiency, downtime and yield.Champion a Safety Always culture ensuring full compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.Collaborate closely with R&D and Operations teams to introduce new products and technologies into production seamlessly.Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and other structured problem-solving methods to reduce waste and improve productivity.Optimise labour, equipment, and material resources to maximise efficiency and maintain cost-effective operations.Maintain accurate production records, reports, and documentation in line with company requirements.Work closely with service and after-sales teams to ensure product readiness, quality feedback, and performance improvements.Responsible for all aspects of production administration.Oversee the purchase of components, and consumables in line with production needs.Desired Skills And ExperienceBachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or a related discipline.Minimum 3–5 years' experience in a production management or supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate, develop, and empower teams.Demonstrated experience with ERP/MRP systems, production scheduling, and resource planning.Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational abilities.Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative, People First approach.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, Performance powered, Innovation Inspired and Quality Driven environment.DisclaimerThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this classification.
