Job Description
As a Resident Engineer – Water, you will oversee the management and supervision of projects to deliver new water network improvements in designated areas. Your responsibility will be to ensure that projects are executed in accordance with contracts and legislation.
You will work closely with regional contractors to guarantee that projects are completed within agreed-upon parameters. Additionally, you will liaise with local authorities to facilitate project delivery.
Your duties will include conducting HSQE audits, managing HSQE issues, processing work orders, approving service requests, updating trackers, reviewing and approving as-laid drawings, collaborating with IW Design Engineers, addressing complaints, providing feedback to Regional Leads and IW, attending and managing meetings with regional contractors and IW, maintaining records, creating snags lists, and signing off when complete. You will also conduct site visits prior to commencing works to identify potential problems and provide feedback to IW Design Engineers.
Before proceeding, we require:
* A minimum of 5 years' postgraduate experience in onsite supervision or site engineering of civil engineering works, including water projects.
* A degree in a relevant field, such as Civil Engineering.
* The ability to write clear and concise reports and maintain accurate work records.
* Strong knowledge and experience of Health and Safety procedures and regulations.
* A valid SafePass card is essential, while Confined Spaces training is desirable.
You must possess excellent organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to function effectively within a team environment. Travel may be involved, so flexibility is required.
