About the Role As a Buyer, you will be responsible for the procurement of materials and services required across multiple projects, ensuring that all purchasing activities are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities: Purchase goods, materials, and components in line with project cost, quality, and delivery requirements Negotiate pricing and terms with new and existing suppliers Analyse data, assess tenders and quotations, and maintain accurate records Build and maintain strong supplier relationships Identify cost-saving opportunities on major spends Manage the internal purchasing system in accordance with company policy Stay up to date with market trends affecting supply and pricing Explore alternative sources for materials where necessary Provide accurate forecasting on price trends and availability What Were Looking For 12 years experience in a similar buying/procurement role within the construction or fit-out sector Strong negotiation, communication, and networking skills Confident using Microsoft Office and other purchasing systems Excellent organisational and time management abilities A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with strong commercial awareness Ability to prioritise and work independently in a fast-paced environment This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established contractor with a great reputation and a solid pipeline of work.
