Prepare and delivers lessons in accordance with early years curriculum and encourages and stimulates children's learning.Teaches basic songs/rhymes targeted towards age, reads stories and organises various activities to promote language, social and physical developmentSupervises and cares for children, provides a secure learning environment and ensuring their health and safety is always maintained while in the care of the school.Supervise teaching assistants and trainees. Support and mentor where necessary.Observe and assess children and discuss their progress with parents and/or other education professionalsHold 1:1 parent teacher meetings once yearly at least for children transitioning to primary school the following year to discuss school readiness, and or areas that need support.
