Job Title: Senior Research

The role of this position involves leading the design, development and optimisation of medical devices.
* Design & Development: Lead the design and development of Class III medical devices within the Aortic Program.
* Team Leadership: Guide and mentor a team of engineers to achieve project milestones.
* Technical Problem-Solving: Address technical challenges in design, material selection and manufacturing.
* Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to drive projects from concept to commercialisation.
* Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all designs meet regulatory standards for Class III medical devices.
* Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and product performance
Key Requirements and Qualifications
* Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
* Experience: At least 5 years of experience in the design and development of Class III medical devices, preferably in the vascular or aortic space.
* Specialised Expertise:
* Strong knowledge of stent systems, stent grafts and delivery systems.
* Proficiency in shaping, forming and encapsulating coverings onto stents.
* Leadership Skills: Proven experience leading a team of engineers and managing design projects.
* Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrated ability to address complex technical challenges in design and development.
* Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for engaging with internal teams and external stakeholders.
