Our Head Office Logistics Department is looking for a confident, driven and analytical individual to join their growing team as a Senior Logistics Project Manager. You will be a fundamental part of the team providing project management, logistics consultancy and strategic direction to the business. The role will support the development of the Lidl IE/NI logistics function, specifically focusing on capacity analysis and WH infrastructure to support the future needs of the business as well as the rollout and implementation of national and international projects, concepts, and processes. What You'll Do
* You will support the regional logistics teams with updates and use of our logistics warehouse management systems, Wamas and SAP EWM
* Support and train end users whilst playing a fundamental part in the roll-out of system updates, new releases, and operational projects
* Resolve site specific and wider system issues working with IT, HO, and INT departments
* Co-ordination and point of contact for project ideas and proposals and roll outs for improvements concerning specific departmental matters from RDCs, other national departments and Lidl Head Office
* Assuring a proactive cross-departmental flow of information and exchange of knowledge between national departments, RDCs and Lidl Head Office
* Providing after care, support, and follow-up of the implementation of new projects and optimisation of processes, concepts, and systems and conducting cost benefit analysis
* Producing KPI assessments and project documents and support tools, e.g., for Logistics cost management control and presentations for meetings and KPI achievement
* Continuous analysis, quality assurance and optimisation of Logistics procedures, processes, concepts, systems, and derivation of targeted measures
* Development of practical proposals for solutions to standardisation, simplification, and digitalisation
* Planning, control and monitoring of department specific Logistics projects, including regular check in and review of the efficiency of all projects
* Translating the adaptations of international specifications to country-specific circumstances
* Monitoring the International Logistics communication platform and sending to the regional teams as necessary / ARIS processes / audit compliance / H&S initiatives
* Ensure full buy-in and engagement from regional end users and promote a culture of continuous knowledge sharing
What You'll Need
* Highly organised with an ability to manage your own workload, whilst prioritising conflicting deadlines
* Strong communication and presenting skills with a keen eye for detail
* Proactive and creative approach to logistics with an ability to consider the bigger picture, challenge processes and actively think outside the box whilst encouraging others to do the same
* Driven attitude to achieve results and defined project goals, being quick to learn new ideas and concepts
* Confident working with numbers and large data sets to conduct analysis and present findings
* The ability to project manage and take active ownership of tasks and projects whilst supporting colleagues through the change cycle – and actively addressing conflict management
* Great team spirit and cooperation with all stakeholders Nationally and Internationally is essential
* Existing knowledge and experience of Logistics and Warehousing is preferred
* Third-level degree desirable
* Ability to speak German an advantage
