Role Summary
Fairstone Ireland is rapidly expanding, and we have an opening for a Financial Planner/ Senior Financial Planner to join the team, with a clearly defined opportunity to progress into a Head of Office role in County Waterford.
This role is ideally suited to a Financial Planner with demonstrable experience in a financial planning or wealth management role, who has already begun to take on leadership responsibility or is ready to step into a more senior, strategic position.

To support our growth strategy, we are hiring an experienced Financial Planner/Senior Financial Planner who will not only deliver excellent client outcomes but will also play a key role in building regional presence, developing relationships and providing leadership within the business, with a clear pathway toward becoming Head of Office.
This role requires a highly motivated, experienced Financial Planner with strong leadership capability and a consistent client-first mindset. The successful candidate will combine technical expertise with the ability to build trusted, long-term relationships, influence stakeholders and contribute strategically to the growth in Co. Waterford.
In addition to managing a client portfolio, the role will eventually involve mentoring colleagues, supporting junior financial planners, paraplanners / administrators, contributing to business planning and acting as a senior representative of the Company. Over time, subject to performance, the role will evolve to include full Head of Office responsibilities, including regional leadership and commercial oversight.
Role and Responsibilities
Client & Commercial Responsibilities
* Achieve and exceed sales and revenue targets through a compliant, client-first approach.
* Manage and develop a portfolio of clients, delivering high-quality financial planning reviews and long-term advice strategies.
* Provide advice across a broad spectrum of client needs, from straightforward to complex wealth management scenarios.
* Identify, develop and act on referrals and self-generated business opportunities.
* Maintain high conversion rates while delivering consistently exceptional client service.
* Coach clients through their financial journeys, scheduling proactive reviews 12–18 months in advance.
Leadership & Relationship Management
* Demonstrate leadership within the Financial Planning team, acting as a role model for best practice, professionalism and client care.
* Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with high-value clients, colleagues and stakeholders.
* Support, mentor and share knowledge with colleagues, contributing to the development of team capability.
* Collaborate with management to support regional growth initiatives, lead generation activity and brand presence in Co. Waterford.
* Represent Fairstone professionally at meetings, events, workplace visits or presentations as required.
* Contribute to departmental and regional business planning, providing insight, feedback and commercial input.
Operational, Compliance & Governance
* Ensure all advice and client interactions adhere to regulatory, compliance and governance standards.
* Maintain comprehensive, compliant and up-to-date client records within CRM and filing systems.
* Demonstrate strong knowledge of the Consumer Protection Code and relevant financial services legislation.
* Oversee accurate completion of DocuSign, policy issuance and follow-up processes.
* Support continuous improvement of advisory and administrative processes through collaboration and feedback.
Strategic & Regional Development
* Use initiative to identify growth opportunities, efficiencies and service enhancements within Co. Waterford.
* Support the development of regional presence and infrastructure, aligned with Fairstone's broader growth strategy.
* Progressively assume greater leadership, people management and commercial responsibility in line with the pathway towards the Head of Office role.

Requirements
* A minimum of 3-5 years' experience as a Financial Planner or Senior Financial Planner within the Republic of Ireland.
* Relevant professional qualifications (e.g. QFA, CFP) and compliance with Irish regulatory requirements.
* Experience using digital advice tools, CRM systems and DocuSign.
* Proven ability to develop and maintain strong professional networks and referral channels.
* Strong IT skills, including the Microsoft Office suite.
* Highly motivated, proactive and comfortable taking ownership of outcomes.
* An ambition to progress into a leadership and Head of Office role over time.
