Product Owner - RHEL Hardware Enablement (Waterford Office, Ireland)

Responsibilities
Take a leadership role in a cross-functional team by defining priorities, ensuring alignment with stakeholders, and driving execution for RHEL ARM, ACPI, and RISC-V based hardware enablement.
Act as the primary point of contact between Product Management, Engineering, and similar roles to ensure alignment on priorities and deliverables.
Communicate product goals effectively to ensure the team can work autonomously and remain unblocked.
Manage and prioritize backlog items, considering customer feedback and new requirements.
Collaborate with the engineering team to split features and epics into stories or tasks.
Define Acceptance Criteria and ensure that the team understands "what" to work on.
Provide key information such as delivery plans by acting as an information radiator to the teams and stakeholders.
Explore and experiment with emerging AI technologies relevant to software development, proactively identifying opportunities to incorporate new AI capabilities into existing workflows, practices and engagements.
Proactively monitor community related (upstream) and product and services related (downstream) communication channels and act as a voice for the team.
Engage in and ensure effective ongoing communication between customers, customer facing teams, and stakeholders and the engineering teams to allow for continuous feedback and improvement.
Qualifications
Strength in prioritizing development work while managing product management expectations
Ability to resolve conflicting priorities and communicate key insights from multiple sources (e.g., product feedback, technical discussions, community input) to stakeholders and engineering teams.
3+ years of experience in a software development or product ownership role, preferably in an Agile or Scrum environment.
Solid communication, presentation, organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills
Highly self-motivated and proactive in engaging stakeholders to drive clarity and alignment.
Experience with Jira
Experience with shared ownership of software by a globally collaborative team
Nice to Have
Experience with Linux and open source development practices
Familiarity with ARM-based hardware
Familiarity with RISC-V based hardware
