Project Manager – DeltaV & Agile/Scrum
Location: Munster Industry: Industrial Automation / Pharmaceutical
Job Summary:
Horizon Controls Group are seeking a skilled and experienced Project Manager with DeltaV expertise to lead and coordinate automation/control system projects using Agile methodologies. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in Emerson DeltaV DCS systems, along with proven experience managing complex projects in an Agile/Scrum environment, preferably with a Scrum Master certification.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage end-to-end automation/control system projects involving DeltaV DCS systems.
* Lead cross-functional teams through Agile sprints, ensuring milestones are met and deliverables are on time and within budget.
* Serve as Scrum Master for the team, facilitating daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies.
* Coordinate with engineering, software development, QA, and client stakeholders to align technical execution with business objectives.
* Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and resource allocations using Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
* Monitor project scope, risks, and issues and proactively implement mitigation strategies.
* Ensure all documentation and regulatory requirements are met, especially for projects in life sciences, pharmaceutical, or similar regulated industries.
* Provide technical oversight or guidance related to DeltaV architecture, configuration, and commissioning phases as needed.
Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
* 5+ years of experience in project management within automation or process control environments.
* Proven experience with Emerson DeltaV systems, including implementation and troubleshooting.
* Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification.
* Hands-on experience managing projects using Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe, etc.).
* Strong understanding of DCS/SCADA systems in industrial or regulated environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
* PMP certification or equivalent project management credential.
* Experience working in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or chemical industry.
* Familiarity with GMP, GAMP 5, and validation requirements.
* Experience with DevOps pipelines in an industrial or automation setting.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
