We're hiring a hands-on Head Chef to lead a premium, high-volume takeaway site.
We operate at the top end of the market: everything is made in house, fresh, and built around consistency, speed and quality. This is a kitchen first leadership role, with oversight of the full service line, not a traditional FOH manager job. FOH is a streamlined takeaway model your team are catering assistants handling POS and service; you set the pace, standards and service flow on shift.
What you'll be responsible for
Kitchen leadership
* Own kitchen standards end-to-end: prep systems, service execution, pace and consistency
* Recipe compliance, portion control, training and daily quality checks
* Ordering, stock rotation, waste control and delivery checks
* Food GP protection through systems, not guesswork
* HACCP compliance, cleanliness routines, audit readiness
Service line & FOH oversight
* Set the pace on the line: speed, flow, pass, and order accuracy
* Lead the full team on shift and keep standards tight
* Ensure POS and order-taking is done correctly and consistently
* Customer standards and recovery when needed (quick fixes, no drama)
* Maintain front-of-house cleanliness, presentation, and basic routines
What we're looking for
* Proven Head Chef / Senior Sous experience in high-volume QSR / takeaway / fast casual
* You can run a system: prep discipline, speed, consistency, and clean execution
* Strong commercial instincts: portioning, waste, ordering control, stock accuracy
* Comfortable leading a mixed-skill team and setting the tempo on shift
* High standards on cleanliness, organisation and accountability
