Role PurposeThe Events Executive will play a central role in the planning and delivery of a wide programme of corporate events across Ireland and the UK. Working within a small and collaborative team, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and leading events of varying scale, ensuring a high-quality experience for speakers, members and stakeholders.This role offers strong scope for development. The Events Executive will begin by delivering events under established processes and will, over time, take ownership of larger and more complex events. For the right candidate, there is an opportunity to progress towards leading the events function or a number of high-profile business organisations.About Our EventsNSI operates the secretariat for a number of high-profile business membership organisations. Through these we run more than 60 events annually, ranging from small policy roundtables to major conferences and gala dinners attended by several hundred guests. Events take place in a wide variety of venues, including government buildings, partner offices, historic civic venues and leading conference spaces. Speakers regularly include senior and well known figures from business, government and the wider public sector across Ireland and the UK.Key ResponsibilitiesEvent Planning and DeliverySupport and lead the delivery of events from concept to execution, ensuring all logistical elements are managed to a high standard.Liaise with venues to confirm arrangements, review proposals and manage booking details.Coordinate with speakers, senior stakeholders and partner organisations regarding event participation and requirements.Manage guest lists, registrations, RSVPs and attendee communications.Work with the Marketing team to ensure event branding, materials and communications are accurate and consistent.Lead on-the-day event operations, ensuring smooth delivery and problem-solving where required.Stakeholder ManagementEngage professionally with senior business leaders, policymakers and organisational partners.Work closely with internal colleagues to ensure event objectives, messaging and logistics are aligned.Operational and Administrative SupportMaintain accurate event records, schedules and briefs.Use the organisation's CRM and event management systems for data entry, reporting and communications.Support budgeting processes, including obtaining venue and supplier quotes, tracking costs and assisting with financial administration.Programme DevelopmentContribute ideas for programme design and continuous improvement.Over time, take lead responsibility for specific event pillars and signature events.Experience and SkillsEssentialExperience in events, hospitality or a related operational role.Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.Excellent communication and stakeholder-facing skills.Confident working independently once trained, while also operating effectively within a small team.Calm under pressure and comfortable responding to last-minute changes or challenges.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with CRM or event registration systems.Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings and evenings depending on event requirements.Ability to travel within Ireland and the UK.Right to work in both Ireland and the UK.DesirableExperience working on corporate or policy-focused events.Experience liaising with senior executives or public officials.Understanding of the business or policy landscape in Ireland and/or the UK.What We OfferA varied and engaging role with significant professional growth opportunities.Exposure to high-profile events and senior-level networks.The opportunity to develop and, over time, take a lead role in shaping the organisation's events programme.A supportive and collaborative team environment based in Dublin 2.
