Excel Recruitment are recruiting a part-time Senior Occupational Therapist or a full-time Staff Grade Occupational Therapist to join an adult intellectual disability team in Navan. Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct comprehensive evaluations to determine clients' needs, strengths, and goals.
2. Develop and implement personalised intervention plans to enhance independence, daily living skills, and community participation.
3. Utilise evidence-based occupational therapy techniques to address sensory, motor, and cognitive challenges.
4. Provide clinical leadership in OT-related matters, ensuring quality and safety in service delivery.
5. Offer mentorship and clinical supervision to junior therapists and therapy assistants.
6. Work collaboratively with families, caregivers, and other professionals to support clients in reaching their full potential.
Essential Requirements:
7. CORU-registered Occupational Therapist.
8. For the Senior position, a minimum of three years' post-qualification experience, with at least one year in adult disability services.
9. For the Senior position, a minimum of one year post-qualification experience, with at least one year in adult disability services.
10. Strong communication and teamwork skills to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues and service users.
11. Experience in mentoring or supervising junior staff is desirable.
12. Full driver's license and access to a vehicle are essential for this community-based role.
