Overview
Title: Staff Nurse, LauraLynn House
Hours: Full-time (37.5 hrs per week)
Contract Type: Permanent contract
Salary/Grade: Staff Nurse: €37,788 - €56,032 / ENP Scale: €44,811 - €57,846, as of 01 February 2026 pay scales
Job Closing Date: 29 April 2026
Introduction: To provide care and support to children with life-limiting conditions and palliative care needs and their families in the family home/community environment that is consistent with the mission, vision, values and strategic plan of LauraLynn, Ireland's Children's Hospice.

To provide care and support to children with life-limiting conditions and palliative care needs and their families in the family home/community environment, in alignment with LauraLynn's mission, vision, values and strategic plan.

Essential Criteria

Registered or be eligible to register with the NMBI
RCN's require a minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience working in a paediatric setting, acute or community setting with children or young people with complex/life-limiting nursing and palliative care needs
RGN's/RNID's require a minimum of 5 years' experience, working in a paediatric setting with children or young people with complex/life-limiting nursing and palliative care needs
Hold a Degree in Nursing or be in the process of completing a degree
Working knowledge of information technology
Experience of working within an interdisciplinary team
Ability to work independently
Demonstrable experience of working with children with complex conditions and palliative care needs and their families
