Job Title: Home Care Manager
About the Role:
To assist in the management of a home for children, ensuring a safe and caring environment that meets childcare legislation and national standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in supervising and managing the day-to-day operations of the home.
• Contribute to the assessment, planning, and implementation of individual care plans.
• Facilitate communication and decision making between young people, their families, and support staff.
• Promote high standards of emotional and physical care and safety for all young people in the home.
• Represent the home at meetings and advocate for the needs, views, and wishes of young people and their families.
Staff Management:
• Provide leadership and guidance to staff, assisting the Home Manager in maintaining 24-hour cover and consistent care.
• Assist with staff induction, supervision, and development.
• Support staff with written reports, handovers, and appraisals.
Other:
• Create a homely setting where young people can identify and feel comfortable.
• Maintain a safe environment, adhering to legal requirements, including building, grounds, equipment, and vehicle maintenance.

Required Criteria:
3 years' experience in children's residential care, minimum level 7 qualification in a relevant field.
