Your role and responsibilities
* Identify and lead transformation and simplification initiatives for DTC and global Treasury Operations.
* Collaborate with global Treasury teams to develop standardised operational processes and update best practice material in the Treasury Handbook.
* Engage with banks and other financial industry participants to keep informed of the latest technological developments driving impact for Treasury Operations.
* Liaise with the Treasury Transformation team on future enhancements to the Treasury Management System (TMS) for the IHB and Operations teams and coordinate related test plans.
* Coordinate for DTC the operational planning and execution of capital structure transactions such as dividends, integrations and other strategic restructuring plans.
* DTC focal for external regulatory audits, working with Front Office and Operations teams to respond to audit requests.
* Support cash forecasting for the IHB and on a regional EMEA level by collaborating with global Treasury teams, and business units such as Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll and Tax to achieve a high degree of accuracy in the cash forecast.
* Develop and execute solutions to simplify DTC’s banking landscape.
* Contribute to daily operations by approving payments and providing operational support to Cash Management and Settlements teams.
* Provide backup management support by reviewing and signing off on operational control reports on occasion.
* Closely interact with Front Office, Business Controls, Risk Management and Accounting teams across the global IBM Treasury environment on operational activities.
* Respond to internal Treasury compliance requests and ad hoc queries from internal auditors.
* Report to management on transactional statistics and other key metrics pertaining to the IHB and DTC Operations.
* Support DTC’s intercompany expense management process.
* Ad hoc project management, including the development of project plans.
Required technical and professional expertise
* Professional knowledge and experience of financial concepts related to Treasury, cash management and inhouse banking is required.
* A diverse understanding of banking products is required.
* Strong excel and technology skills, including experience with financial systems, are required.
* Ability to work to deadlines and experience in managing projects is required.
* An understanding and basic knowledge of accounting is required.
* Analytical skills and familiarity with developing and maintaining analytical spreadsheets is required.
* Ability to identify opportunities, impacts and risks in own job area and develop solutions is required.
