Job Title: Facilities Engineer
Location: Castlebar Co.Mayo
Salary: €55-60k
Summary: We are seeking an experienced Facilities Engineer to join our Clients team in Castlebar, Co. Mayo. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing and maintaining critical utility systems, such as HVAC, steam, and air systems, ensuring operational efficiency and compliance with regulations. A comprehensive understanding of GMP is essential, along with the ability to effectively coordinate cross-functional teams. Candidates with prior experience in the pharmaceutical or medical device industry will be highly valued. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and delivering projects related to facilities maintenance, renovation, and expansion.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement maintenance plans to ensure optimal facility condition and minimize downtime.
Oversee renovation and expansion projects, including design, procurement, and construction.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure projects meet regulatory requirements and company standards.
Direct the communication of all planned and unplanned works with key stake holders in timely manner. Limiting the impact and reacting responsibly and in prompt and efficient manner.
Aid in the delivery of departmental and site KPI performance levels.
Support with multiple projects simultaneously, from conception to completion, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
Maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
Coordinate with stakeholders, including facility users, vendors, and contractors, to ensure project requirements are met.
Ensure all projects are executed in compliance with safety regulations, including company policies.
Conduct regular safety inspections and support with audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
Communicate project status, progress, and issues to stakeholders, including senior management, facility users, and vendors.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations and engineering to ensure successful project execution.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Facilities Engineering experience, preferably in biotech/pharma manufacturing.
Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Strong knowledge of GMP, regulatory requirements, and facility systems in a highly regulated environment.
Strong technical knowledge of facilities systems, utilities and energy management - including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire suppression.
Track record of successfully supporting in improvement projects, facility expansions, and process optimisation works.
Excellent communication, project management, and problem-solving skills.
