Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced professional to fill the role of Supply Chain Lawyer. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing in-house legal advice on supply chain contract and procurement matters.
Key Responsibilities:
* Drafting, negotiating, reviewing, and updating various tender documents, standard forms, and bespoke contracts.
* Managing and supporting third-party specialists to deliver required business outcomes.
* Identifying areas of potential legal risk, developing reporting structures in relation to those risks, and conducting reviews where required.
* Promoting legal awareness and communicating to the business when legal input should be sought.
* Delivering training on areas of interest to the wider business.
* Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant construction, contracts law, and procurement legislative changes and case-law affecting the conduct of our business.
* Ensuring continuing professional development is maintained by participating in appropriate training/courses/seminars.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will be a qualified solicitor with circa 5 years post-qualification experience, including at least 2 years in commercial contracts. Knowledge of public procurement procedures and legislation is desirable.
