On behalf of our client in Dublin 11, we are hiring a Technical Sales Administrator to join their team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare accurate and timely quotations using existing pricelists based on technical specifications, customer requests, and project drawings.
• Read and interpret basic construction drawings and product specifications to advise on material suitability and quantities.
• Act as a key point of contact for incoming sales and technical queries via phone, email, and the trade counter.
• Handle customer queries efficiently and professionally, including situations where products or solutions are unavailable.
• Maintain excellent communication with internal teams (sales & technical) to ensure smooth coordination and customer satisfaction.
• Be able to prioritise and assist the fire protection, technical insulation, and acoustic teams with administrative and customer support tasks.
• Provide overflow support to the In-House Trade Sales team during peak periods or when required.
• Maintain accurate records of enquiries, quotations, and customer interactions using CRM & One Note systems.
• Ensure personal knowledge base is up to date by documenting key information and attending regular training.
Essential:
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a technical sales support or estimating role, ideally within the construction or industrial sector
• Strong mathematical and visual interpretation skills – ability to carry out accurate calculations and visualise solutions.
• Proficiency in reading and understanding technical or construction drawings
Desirable:
• Background in insulation, construction, or building materials industry.
• Experience supporting trade sales and technical teams simultaneously.
• Familiarity with fire-rated or acoustic insulation products
