About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Mechanic to join our team. As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing vehicle servicing and diagnostics, ensuring quality work in a busy environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform work as outlined on the job card with efficiency and accuracy, adhering to industry standards.
* Communicate effectively with colleagues to obtain needed parts and inform management of any issues.
* Diagnose and repair vehicle malfunctions, confirming authorization from customers before proceeding.
* Saving and tagging parts if the job is under warranty or requested by the customer.
* Conduct regular vehicle health checks to identify additional safety or service work required.
* Notify service advisors immediately of any additional work needed or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
* Road-test vehicles to spot-check work performed.
* Stay up-to-date with technical bulletins and attend factory-sponsored training classes.
* Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Requirements:
* A minimum of 3 years post-apprenticeship experience in vehicle maintenance.
* Proven ability to complete job card write-ups with thorough understanding of factory standards for warranty purposes.
* Good communication skills, enabling effective explanation of additional work required to colleagues or customers.
* Previous experience working with ADP/Kerridge systems would be advantageous.
* A suitable work visa is required for this position.
