Overview
Reporting to the EU Director of Fincrime and Fraud Operations, we are expanding the EU team in Dublin. You will work across areas such as EDD, PEP reviews, logging STRs, completing complex fraud reviews, and collaborating with data science, data engineering, product and technology teams. You will handle fraud escalations and oversee outsourced partners to maintain high performance in fraud and fincrime operations.
Responsibilities
* Investigate complex or high-risk anti-money laundering and fraud alerts
* Recommend Suspicious Transaction Reports (STR) to be filed by Monzo Bank EU
* Make onboarding decisions in high-risk or complex cases
* Conduct ongoing due diligence on high-risk entities or cases
* Provide financial crime expertise and support to other operational teams across the business
Qualifications
* Strong English written and verbal communication skills
* Fluency in Spanish (written and spoken) to at least CEFR C1 level
* Experience with high-risk business banking screening or complex financial crime investigations
* Experience making independent, risk-based financial crime decisions in a regulated financial services firm
* Knowledge of the current financial crime landscape in the UK and EU and related risks
