The IT function is structured, pragmatic and focused on reliability, service quality and continuous improvement.About the RoleThis is a hands-on Systems Administrator role with genuine ownership. You will be responsible for local IT operations while also supporting a wider multi-site environment. The role requires occasional travel between company locations, so access to your own car is essential. In the first 12–18 months, success looks like cleaner systems, fewer repeat issues and stronger confidence in IT across the business. This role suits a Sys Admin with 3–5 years' experience who wants autonomy, responsibility and variety without enterprise-level red tape.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide hands-on IT support across multiple company offices, covering hardware, software and network issuesMaintain and support local IT infrastructure including workstations, printers, servers and network devicesMonitor and manage IT support tickets to ensure timely resolution across the wider businessCoordinate and oversee IT support activities, balancing workload and service levelsAct as the primary IT contact for business stakeholders, understanding and addressing technology needsWork with wider IT teams to align on support processes and best practicesSupport environments across Microsoft 365, Windows, Active Directory, Azure and Entra IDSupport virtualised environments and networking infrastructure, including VMware and Cisco MerakiEnsure IT policies, procedures and security best practices are followedIdentify opportunities to improve IT support processes and operational efficiencyTravel between company locations as required to provide on-site supportCandidate Profile3–5 years' hands-on experience in a Systems Administrator or senior IT support roleStrong practical experience across Windows environments, Active Directory and Microsoft 365Exposure to Azure and Entra ID in a live production environmentExperience supporting virtualised infrastructure (e.g. VMware) and core networkingExperience working in an SMEAbility to work independently, manage priorities and resolve issues end to endClear, confident communicator with non-technical users and stakeholdersFull driving licence and access to your own carNice to have:Knowledge of ITIL principles and structured IT service managementExposure to cloud-first or hybrid infrastructure environmentsExperience supporting distributed or multi-site teamsCall to ActionIf you are a Systems Administrator who wants autonomy, trust and the chance to run systems properly, this is worth a confidential conversation.
