Be part of a global reinsurance technology organisation where Dublin is a core engineering hub.
You'll work on one of the most complex legacy Java platforms in the industry, playing a key role in transforming it into a modern, cloud-native, API-driven ecosystem on Azure.
This is a senior, hands-on role with real ownership.
You'll lead critical modernisation initiatives, design and build cloud-native services, and influence engineering standards across teams, while staying close to the code and mentoring engineers at all levels.
If you enjoy tackling hard legacy problems, shaping technical direction, and having genuine influence at CTO level, this role offers long-term impact and a clear path toward broader technical leadership.
You will
Lead cloud-native design and modernisation of a large Java/Spring platform
Build and operate containerised services on Azure
Mentor engineers and raise engineering standards across teams
Skills / Experience
15+ years Java experience with large, complex systems
Strong cloud engineering background (Azure preferred, AWS considered)
Salary / Remuneration
€100,000–€125,000+ benefits.
