Lead DevOps Engineer – Jenkins Expert

Our client, a global leader in financial services technology, is looking for a hands-on Lead DevOps Engineer to design and drive the next-generation enterprise CI/CD pipeline strategy. This role is all about building and scaling a world-class Jenkins platform, embedding DevOps best practices, and leading a high-performing engineering team.
What You'll Do
1. Own the CI/CD strategy – design, implement, and scale enterprise pipelines using Jenkins, Octopus Deploy, and Git.
2. Build & lead – mentor DevOps engineers, drive automation, and ensure best-in-class deployment practices.
3. Champion DevOps culture – promote IaC, automation, security, compliance, and continuous improvement across teams.
4. Innovate & optimize – streamline delivery, strengthen governance, and push operational excellence.
What You Bring
5. Proven Jenkins expertise – building, scaling, and managing enterprise CI/CD platforms.
6. Strong knowledge of Octopus Deploy, Git, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
7. Solid coding skills (Python, Node.js) + IaC experience (Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker).
8. 8+ years in DevOps, ideally in financial services or regulated industries.
9. 3+ years leading teams and delivering CI/CD solutions at scale.
10. Strong grasp of DevOps methodologies and ITIL frameworks.
11. Collaborative leader, proactive problem-solver, passionate about innovation.
12. Must hold Stamp 4 visa and be based within commuting distance of Cork or Dublin.
