Our client, a global leader in Enterprise Finance Technology, is seeking a Software Engineer to join their Business Financial Office Technology team. This team designs and implements innovative, technology-driven solutions to streamline sub-ledger processes and ensure operational excellence across debt, credit derivative, and cash businesses.
As a Software Engineer on this team, you'll contribute to enhancements, architectural improvements, and support for this critical financial platform. You'll collaborate across global development teams, business analysts, and product owners to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Enhance existing functionality and contribute to architectural improvements.
2. Provide troubleshooting and production support for system components.
3. Work with development teams to deliver end-to-end solutions aligned with business requirements.
4. Collaborate with Product Owners and BAs to deliver user stories and secure sign-off.
5. Contribute to application design, test automation, and process efficiency initiatives.
6. Actively participate in Agile ceremonies and team discussions.
Essential Skills
7. Strong expertise with Oracle (10g/11g/12c/19c) and advanced PL/SQL coding (procedures, functions).
8. Proven experience in SQL performance tuning.
9. Good object-oriented design knowledge and architectural awareness.
10. Excellent communication skills with experience in global team collaboration.
11. Strong ownership mindset, with ability to drive issues to completion.
12. Experience sharing ideas and collaborating within technical teams.
Technical Skills
13. Python (commercial experience).
14. UNIX/Linux scripting.
15. C# / .NET (Windows applications).
16. GIT/Bitbucket version control.
17. Quartz Python development.
18. Agile / Scrum methodologies.
19. Financial services or investment banking experience (front or back office).
20. Knowledge of corporate GL structures and flows.
21. Experience with automated testing tools.
22. SQL Server expertise.
