Niaron Ltd is a family-owned construction and civil engineering company specialising in the delivery of utility and infrastructure projects across Ireland.

Job Role
This Project Engineer role will be based on one of our sites in the Midwest Region. You will assist the Project Manager with all aspects of their role including management of health, safety, environment and quality procedures and day-to-day project management.
Your responsibilities will include ensuring compliance with HSEQ requirements for every site operation, undertaking tasks relating to safety, resource allocation, setting out, traffic management and supervision arrangements as assigned by the PM, and ensuring adherence with project drawings and specifications for all works being delivered by our in-house teams.
Responsibilities

* Work within the sustainability procurement policy of the business.
* Keep detailed records and maintain well-organised work schedules.
* Assess the reliability of sub-contractors and suppliers in conjunction with the PM.
* Deal effectively with challenges within the site crews.
* Provide instruction to site personnel and upward liaison with the PM.
* Liaise closely with the PM to ensure schedules are received in a timely manner to plan all site activities.
Requirements
* Excellent knowledge of HSEQ requirements.
* Demonstrated analytical skills and ability to interpret site information.
* Good knowledge of the electrical network including HV, MV and LV.
* Ability to communicate with peers both written and verbal.
* Willingness to work independently or as part of a team.
* Good understanding of the civil engineering and utilities business.
* Enjoyment of the requirement to work in the outdoor environment.
* Minimum 3 years experience in a Site Engineer or similar role.
* Required: Safepass Manual Handling Full Clean Driving licence Training required but not essential: Sign, Lighting & Guarding at Roadworks. Location of Underground Services.
