Environmental Compliance Professional
The role involves implementing environmental requirements for a global life science company.
* Provide technical assistance for environmental programs, including air emissions, wastewater discharges, soil and groundwater management, surface water management, waste management, and environmental noise control.
* Ensure adherence to local and corporate environmental standards.
* Act as the point of contact for environmental compliance.
* Help create a positive culture for environmental performance.
* Facilitate implementation of various environmental programs across the site.
* Assist in implementing new IED Licence and Greenhouse Gas Permit conditions and support environmental sampling and monitoring requirements.
* Be a resource to all areas helping them understand regulatory requirements and implement solutions that comply with these regulations and programs.
* Participate in Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) improvement projects for optimization, simplification, and streamlining of EHS processes related to Environmental Programs.
* Compile environmental reporting for both regulatory and corporate requirements.
* Continuously stay up-to-date with new environmental regulations.
* Deliver Instructor-Led Training for environmental courses.
A bachelor's or master's degree in Environmental Science or a similar field is required, along with 4+ years of experience working in the pharmaceutical industry. An IED Licence is essential, and hybrid working is available after training.
