Role OverviewWe are hiring experiencedMechanical Fittersto support the construction of a majorgrid stability energy projectin theRepublic of Ireland. The role will involve the mechanical installation, assembly and alignment of large rotating equipment and associated systems in a high-safety, high-compliance environment.Key ResponsibilitiesMechanical installation and assembly of large rotating equipment including:Flywheel unitsGenerators / motorsMechanical ancillaries and supporting systemsCarrying out mechanical fitting duties such as:alignment works (coupling alignment)bolting / torquing / tensioning to specinstallation of skids, frames, guards and mechanical componentsInstallation of mechanical plant & systems (pipework, valves, supports, brackets where required)Working from mechanical drawings, GA drawings and installation proceduresSupporting QA/QC checks, inspections, punch lists and mechanical completion sign-offSupporting pre-commissioning activities (mechanical completion, checks, snagging support)Working safely under permit-to-work systems, including LOTO and RAMS complianceWorking in confined spaces when required, following all site controls and rescue proceduresEssential Requirements Proven experience as aMechanical Fitterin construction / energy / industrial environmentsCCNSG Safety Passport (mandatory)Confined Space Experience (mandatory) Hands-on experience withflywheels / generators / rotating equipment Ability to interpret drawings and follow method statements / procedures High safety awareness and ability to work to strict compliance standardsDesirableExperience on grid stability projects, synchronous condenser sites, power stations or energy infrastructureExperience supporting commissioning teams and mechanical completion processesLOTO / lifting awareness / banksman-slinger experience (advantageous)
