Automation Specialist is responsible for designing, integrating, and maintaining automated assembly systems for plastic components in an injection moulding environment.
This role focuses on leveraging automation technologies to improve manufacturing efficiency and product quality.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with PLC programming, HMI interfaces, and basic robotics.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and integrate automated assembly systems for plastic components
* Maintain and troubleshoot automation equipment
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless automation integration
* Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans for automation equipment
* Manage vendor relationships for automation equipment sourcing and FAT/SAT processes
* Support validation activities including IQ/OQ/PQ for automated systems
* Assist in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics) or equivalent experience
* 3-5 years of experience in automation engineering within manufacturing or assembly environments
* Hands-on experience with PLC programming, HMI interfaces, and basic robotics
* Familiarity with vision systems and mechanical assembly automation
* Knowledge of injection molding processes and component assembly
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
* Experience with validation protocols (IQ/OQ/PQ)
