Saint John of God Kerry Services provides a range of programmes and services for adults and children with an intellectual disability throughoutthe Kerry region.A person-centered approach to service delivery is promoted in accordance with Organisational values and ethos and in keeping with its commitment to the continuing development of community based services.If you are looking for an exciting new challenge and share best practice, the following roles might be of interest: Instructor Community Integration & Day Service - Multiple Positions (Permanent Full-Time (Initial Assignment Beaufort Campus), Permanent Part-Time, 12 Months Fixed Term Full time and 6 Months Specified Purpose Part-Time) (Based across Kerry Services) The successful candidate will support individuals to achieve personal goals in areas such as employment, education, community life and independent living. This will be supported through person-centred planning, skill development and community engagement. The successful candidate will work in partnership with individuals and their communities to promote choice, independence and active citizenship in accordance with the principles of New Directions - National Standards for Services and Supports for Adults with Disabilities. The successful candidate requires: A relevant Third Level Qualification in Social Care, Education, Health and Leisure, Community or other (FETAC Level 6 or higher). Experience of working with adults with intellectual disability advantageous An ability to facilitate, instruct and support service-users in a variety of service and community based programmes. Previous experience in training and community development e.g. QQI with a creative approach to service delivery would be an advantage. Ability to work evenings and weekends as required. Proficient IT skills and report writing. Excellent communication, teamwork, interpersonal and organisational skills. A full clean drivers licence for a manual vehicle, D/D1 licence would be an advantage.
